"IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE, THERE ARE MANY DWELLING PLACES"

Reading: John 14:1-6

One of the big dreams of life is to own our own home. Just think, a home that is all yours. Whether mortgaged or not, you can paint it any color you want inside and out, you can decorate it, fill it with your choice of furniture, make it as pretty and cozy as you want. A house beautiful

Whether you have one here or not, whether you ever will be able to afford a house on earth or that belongs to you, where you can be comfy and warm in the winter, cool and relaxed in the summer. You can enjoy life by yourself, with your family, with your friends, your pets, however you want. It is your home.not, Jesus promises you a fine place in heaven. “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places; I am going to prepare a place for you.”
In God’s house, heaven, you will have your own home. And you can be sure it will be fixed up exactly as you would like to have it - otherwise it wouldn’t be heaven, would it? Do you know you are already doing just that? You are already decorating the home that will be yours forever.

By the choices you make each day you are already purchasing the furnishings for your eternal home. A good deed here, a kind word there, a selfless act of love and concern — all go into the beautifying of your abode with God. Do you consider yourself a person of exquisite taste? I hope you are. For in time you’ll find out. No, not in time, but in eternity. When Jesus comes for you, you will see the real worth of your choices; you will experience them - forever! Jesus said to his disciples:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God and faith in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places; I am going to prepare a place for you, and then I shall come back to take you with me, that where I am you also may be.”
